Everything your committee usually asks first.

The Free plan has no monthly fee and covers up to 100 students. A 3% sales commission applies to paid event tickets, uniform, school supplies, and any other sale through the school site or parent mobile app. VAT and payment-provider charges are additional. Larger schools can choose Gold, Platinum, or Diamond; see our pricing page for details.

Most committees are live within a few days of signing up: pick a template, add your school's colours and crest, and publish. No developer, and no waiting on your school's IT department.

No. The dashboard is built for volunteers, not developers. Publishing an event, opening a club for booking, or sending a notice takes a few minutes, and committee membership changes every year without losing anything.

Yes. Start on the free tier with your real school data, invite a handful of parents, and decide from there. There's no contract to sign to get started.

A WhatsApp group has no search worth the name, no way to scope a message to just Year 4 parents, and no way to sell a ticket or take a uniform order inside the chat. Friends of School keeps the same instant reach without losing messages in the scroll.

Most will, yes, but it replaces several separate group chats, a paper newsletter, and a cash tin at the school gate with one place. That trade is one committees tell us is worth it.

Nothing forces you to close them immediately. Most committees run both side by side for a term while parents migrate, then wind the WhatsApp group down once most families have joined.

No. Class chat happens inside the app. Nobody's personal number or email is ever exposed to another parent.

Only that child's own parents or guardians, and the committee members responsible for their class or year group. Never the whole school.

Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is scoped by role, so a Year 2 class rep can't see Year 6 payment records. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Your school owns its data. If a committee decides to leave, we'll export everything (contacts, event history, financial records) in a usable format.

By card, through the payment provider for your school's region: Blink in the UK and Europe, Botim Pay in the UAE, and Razorpay in India. Which provider a school uses is set by the platform, not by the committee. It's the same checkout parents already trust from other websites.

Yes, automatically by email the moment a payment completes. No more chasing the committee for proof of purchase.

Sales commission is 3% on Free, 2.5% on Gold, 2% on Platinum, and 1.5% on Diamond. It applies to paid event tickets, uniform, school supplies, and other sales on the school site or parent mobile app. VAT and payment-provider charges are additional; see our pricing page for the full breakdown.

Yes. A parent-to-parent marketplace sits alongside the school's own shop for new stock, moderated by the committee, searchable by size and year group.

Access follows the role, not the person. Hand the account over to next year's treasurer or secretary and nothing about your event history or shop listings is lost.

Yes. Set capacity, staff ratios, and a waitlist once per club, and parents book online without a spreadsheet changing hands.

Yes. Unlike an ordinary WhatsApp group, the committee has moderation tools for a class group, including the ability to remove a participant.

Yes. Schools publish their own curriculum map by year and subject, whether that's IGCSE, CBSE, IB, or a curriculum of your own.

Yes, on both. Notifications are scoped to a parent's own child's class and year group, not broadcast to the whole school.
