Acceptable use policy
Last updated: [date]
Draft for review. This policy has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and is not in force. Passages in [square brackets] still need to be completed.
This template explains the minimum standards for everyone using Friends of School: schools, PTA committees, staff, parents, guardians, and children using a supervised account.
Use the service for your school community
Use Friends of School to communicate with your school community, organise clubs and events, manage school shops, and take part in conversations that your school has made available to you.
School administrators remain responsible for setting their own community rules and for deciding which features are available to their families.
You must not
When using the service, you must not:
- Post or send content that is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, defamatory, or intended to intimidate someone
- Share another person's private contact details, images, or personal information without a lawful reason and appropriate permission
- Attempt to access another school, class, account, payment record, or administrative function
- Upload malware, scrape the service, probe its security, or interfere with its availability
- Use school communications to send spam, unrelated advertising, or political fundraising
- Impersonate a parent, staff member, school, committee, or payment provider
Reports and action
Report a concern to your school administrator or to abuse@aqualeo.co. Include the school, the relevant link or message, and enough context for us to understand what happened.
A school may moderate its own community. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend access where we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, where there is a safety risk, or where the law requires it.
How this policy changes
We may update this policy as the service changes or as legal requirements develop. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
This policy is published in English, Arabic, and Hindi. If the versions differ, the English version applies.
